Meet Baby! She's a six month old deaf Catahoula Leopard Hound, who came to us from a kill shelter in Louisiana. She was bred merle to merle, resulting in deafness. She sees perfectly from those gorgeous blue eyes. She's a very pretty dog.
What a smart pup, too! She's also very happy and dog friendly. Her best friend is Stevie, another pup of the same age who is hearing, but is blind. These two are quite the pair together. Baby is Stevie's 'eyes', and Stevie is Baby's 'ears'. It's an amazing sight to behold these two extra sweet dogs helping each other on walks, at play time, and they adore each other.
We'd really like to see Baby and Stevie adopted together. They are great dogs separately, but the magic between them is undeniable, and amazing to watch. We are of the opinion that both of them would have better quality of life together.
