Meet this handsome kitty named Pumpkin! He came into the shelter Sept. 30, 2016 when his owner did not have the time to devote to Pumpkin that they felt he deserves. This sweet boy is around 11 months old, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. Super sweet fella who loves to be loved on and is missing his FOREVER home. Stop by for a visit with Pumpkin and adopt him into your family and give him back the home life he is missing! We have SO MANY cats & kittens arriving daily that it is hard to keep Adopt a Pet as up-to-date as we would like. So PLEASE COME TO THE SHELTER and meet some of the wonderful cats that are up for adoption and open up your home to 1 or more kitties today! Can't adopt today? We'd love some toys, litter, or food (especially kitten food) would be good too. Maybe you will have some time for snuggle and love on us while you're here. It makes the cats time here more enjoyable to get love & attention. We need volunteers & foster homes! If you adopt a cat that is not already spayed or neutered you will receive a voucher to help cover the cost of the surgery (some vets honor the voucher 100%)...such a great deal while saving a life!! All of the cats are tested for FIV as well as Lukemia before being adopted out as well. The shelter hours are M-F 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4.
Act quickly to adopt Pumpkin. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.
About Carteret County Humane Society & Animal Shelter
We are a non-profit orginization relying on donations. We do have a contract witht the county to provide shelter for strays brought in. We have limited space but try to get our animals back to thier families and if that can not be accomplished we work hard on finding them new homes. We do what we do because we love animals. We are realistic in in efforts, understand the problem and work towards educating the public on what needs to be done to prevent over population.
