Dixie's Story...
Hello, my name is Dixie! I am a 2 year old rat terrier! My puppies (Murphy & Moe), Mom (Lola), along with her puppies, and I were found on the side of the road with no place to go. We were taken into rescue to have a better chance at adoption. I'm am a sweet girl and already house broken. I weigh 14.5 l lbs and ready for my furever-home. I would love a human who is looking for a friend to play and snuggle with. My adoption fee is $250. I am up-to-date on all of my shots, spayed/ neutered, and micro-chipped. If you think you have room in your heart and home for a cutie like me, please contact my friends at YNBFPR for an application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Powder Springs Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Powder Springs, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Powder Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powder Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powder Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powder Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
