Baxter's Story...
Baxter is a 4 month old Bull Terrier/Pitbull mix puppy who is short and stout. He is a beef cake. He weighs approx 26 lbs, he is good with dogs, seems uninterested with cats but should be tested with any resident cats as well (meets with all family members and any resident pets required prior to adoption) and kids and lives in foster care with 6 other dogs aged 5 weeks to 7 years old. He is 100% crate trained, working on housebreaking and adorable. He has a skin issue (flea allergy dermatitis or food allergy) we are getting cleared up now. He will be available for adoption in a few weeks. He is up to date on vaccines and microchipped and will be neutered soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Bergen County Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bergen County, or seeking a Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Bergen County.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bergen County already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bergen County breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bergen County paves the way for another one to be saved.
