Redd's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Redd's Story...
From his foster: Redd is 15 lbs. He really wants to sleep with us, he likes to whimper to be let into bed, but then once he is in there- he jumps off. However if I am sleeping on couch, he cuddles right up. Probably the amount of dogs that go to bed with us is not appealing to him. He is extremely handsome, he loves humans. I could not see him having a mean bone in his body. He is dominant over other dogs, so being an only is probably ok, or with a submissive female, I'm sure he would be fine. He is around 2 years our vet says. I think he would make an amazing companion in almost any situation. If you are interested in meeting Redd, please fill out our online application at: www.secondchancesaelm.org His adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Redd, a Salem Shiba Inu/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua for sale in Salem, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
