Peanut's Story...
Hellooooooooo! My name's Peanut, what's yours? I'm around 8 years old, and am a male beagle. I was recently surrendered to the shelter with my buddy Puddin'. Our owner was moving out of the country, and needed to find a place for us to go. So here we are, patiently waiting for a new home!

I'm a very friendly boy, who would do well in a home with other dogs and kids, we"re not sure what I think of cats yet. Prior to going to a new home I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will also have a microchip. Now all I need is someone who will love me forever and ever! Does that sound like something you'd be up for? I promise to give you all the unconditional love I can in return! Just give me a chance!

The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Youngwood Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
