Ziggy is cute as a bug and he's very affectionate toward people! He just likes to be with you. He would benefit from getting used to long walks to keep him fit. He is losing some of his extra weight now, and needs to stay slim for health. He'll still be a fuzzy lovebug, but could become more energetic, which is good because he deserves a life of fun walks, training to boost your bonding, maybe even some Scenting work to find his inner super hero.

We think he might enjoy life with kids over ten, as he is pretty tolerant. Adults should supervise to be sure he is not getting worried about restraint (hugging, being held tightly). Ziggy sometimes pulls on the leash and vocalizes when he sees other dogs, so children should not walk him, but could hold a second leash. Because he has shown us that he will guard his food and bowl from other dogs, he should be an only dog. We don't know his genetic heritage, but he can be bossy and controlling around other dogs like a herding dog, so he isn't appropriate for dog parks. Instead, take Ziggy on a couple of nice strolls around the neighborhood everyday. He walks nicely on leash and loves to meet people.

Ziggy should be brushed daily to keep his coat beautiful, with occasional baths. Since we don't know much about his coat type, keep an eye on him in case it grows too long and needs professional grooming.

Ziggy is just a joy when he is around humans. He will be happiest as the only dog in the house, so he can get all your affection!
