Reggie's Story...
If you like your pups small but mighty, Reggie may be the guy for you! He's a petite American Staffordshire Terrier who is 40 pounds and a total dynamo! Reggie is only a year old, and he's a blast. He loves to go for walks, get butt scratches, play ball, and basically party party party. Reggie arrived at ACL as a stray, and the people who found him had nothing but wonderful things to say about his temperament and his success in their home. Reggie is the ultimate play partner for any dog that loves a good wrestle - he's especially good with dogs who may be generally awkward around other dogs. Reggie doesn't care - he's tolerant and easygoing when it comes to other pooches, and he would absolutely thrive in a home with a play partner! He's very energetic, so he may do well with confident cats or he may see chasing cats as the best game in the world - it's hard to say. Reggie would make a great family dog for a household that loves his puppy energy and doesn't mind putting a little bit of manners training into him. He may still have the puppy jumpiness and mouthiness, but he also has a sweet, steady disposition that's sure to grow even better in a home. He's still pretty mouthy, so kids 10 and up would be best.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reggie, a Oak Park American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
