Thunder's Story...

Thunder is a sweet and gentle kitten, playful but not overly rambunctious.   Like his littermates, he LOVES to be held, and will purr purr purr.  If you're looking for a lap cat, Thunder is your boy!  He just can't get enough love!   He does have one eye that has a film over it, and we're not sure how good his vision is in that eye.  He may have been born that way, but he doesn't seem to be bothered by it.  He has a twin sister named Lightening and a black tuxedo brother named Storm.  These 3 kittens came to us from a rural animal control along with a mom (Ashley) and two slightly younger kittens (Toni and Cleo).  This whole family is a joy, and is living in a foster home getting lots of love and attention.  All are uptodate on vaccinations,  spayed or neutered, and combotested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.    If you'd like to meet this sweet kitten, and his mom and littermates, please email   adoptions@catrangers.org, or call 770-831-5513.  Thunder's adoption fee is $145.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Buford Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Buford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Buford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buford paves the way for another one to be saved.
