Marisol. The starved, anemic Shepherd from Philadelphia. For those that didn't see the post, when she was carried in on a litter several weeks ago, her packed cell volume was seven. Now it's twenty, normal is about thirty-five. She was so close to death. Thanks to the efforts of the volunteers who force fed her liquid until she was strong enough to chew, the ones who made all the homemade meals, the ones who sat with her and begged her to stay, she slowly regained her will to live. Today she is still weak, but starting to play, barking, she has made a remarkable come-back.
She is two years old, very affectionate.
No small dogs or cats.
