My name is Dexter, and I`m an adorable Hound mix. I`m an energetic and active young man who loves to run and play!! I`m a good-natured guy who gets along with other smaller dogs, but I probably would not do to well around small children. Sometimes I can have a little bit of an attitude, but I am very affectionate and love attention. I know how to sit and shake when there is a treat involved. I`m a great dog looking for a great home where I can grow and play! My adoption fee of $175.00 includes my neuter surgery, micro-chip, dewormer, vaccinations, and heartworm test. I have also started on my heartworm preventative and flea medication. What more could you ask for? If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application or contact an Adoption Counselor at 803.465.9142. Hope to see you soon!
Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization solving pet overpopulation in the Midlands. There are over 20,000 homeless pets in the Midlands and over 17,000 are euthanized each year. Our plan uniquely positions us to correct this problem through four distinct initiatives: Adoption, Medical, Rescue Collaboration, and Education efforts.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Pawmetto Lifeline is open for adoptions Monday-Friday from 12 noon-7 pm, Saturday from 10 am-7 pm and Sunday from 12 noon-5 pm. Some cats are also available for adoption daily at all Petsmart locations in the Columbia area. (Currently there are Petsmart locations in Harbison, Lexington and the Northeast on Two Notch Road.)
Our Adoption Process...
All prospective adopters are required to complete an application and go through a short interview process. Once approved the adoption fees are paid and the adopter is able to bring the pet home the same day.
Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $100 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs and puppies start at $150 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
