SWEET Nature, Advanced Training Skills, CALM, Happy Personality = A+++

Hi, my name's General Li and I'm a 4 year old neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier / Lab mix who's said to be a VERY SPECIAL find 'cause I'm the nicest dog in town! Some people might consider me just a “plain” black dog but my rescue friends assure me that MY personality truly SHINES ! Hey folks, life is GOOD these days and that's something I truly appreciate! Everyone seems to be impressed with my manners AND gentle demeanor, but I find it easy to behave since I thrive on the pawsitive praise one receives for doing so! I’m a big GENTLE clown who loves to snuggle and a bit of a Momma’s (or Daddy's) boy too but I’m the consummate house dog who knows how to behave like a true Gentleman, both indoors AND out! I have a STABLE, even temperament: CALM, highly INTELLIGENT, easy to train, AFFECTIONATE, extremely GENTLE and very WELL BEHAVED indoors knowing that’s the place to be kicked back. I’m a SWEET boy who is super socialized, housebroken, crate trained (though I certainly don't need one) and even sits for treats and/or attention instantly. I love to lay at your feet and play with my bone(s) or favorite toys and especially enjoy car rides where I sit nicely to take in the scenery! Mare says I'm the BEST “take everywhere” dog because I always mind my manners in any situation and am known to be “non-reactive” and even gracious when meeting other animals and humans, says that makes me the PERFECT “service dog” candidate too. I guess those are HIGH compliments coming from someone known to be so picky about such things... I'm glad she's so pleased with me but, truth is, I just enjoy being out and getting to meet everyone 'cause I love making new friends ! I do make sure to announce the arrival of any strangers but I’m especially good with people ~ even the mailman! I have a heart of gold so I'm GREAT with other dogs and known to be beyond FABULOUS with children because I got to practice with the miniature humans I helped to raise. I'm SUPER EASY on a leash, learn REALLY quickly and looooove to please. My foster Mom says I’m the PERFECT canine ambassador, a GREAT COMPANION and friend because I have a heart as big as all outdoors. I’m looking for a special person(s) or a family of my own so I can stick by YOUR side through thick and thin ‘cause I’m the most LOYAL friend you’ll ever encounter!

Why wait??? Contact us via our website or simply call Mare at (505)316-2089 for a private 'By Appointment Only' showing at our weekly 'Adoptions in the Park' !!!

About Pet-a-Bulls, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Pet-a-Bulls, Inc. is New Mexico’s all volunteer based “Bully” breed ADOPTION group. We carefully select dogs from City and County shelters across the State, ensure that all medical needs and vaccinations are in place and that each and every one of our fur~friends have the basic behavior training to automatically exhibit the skills required to be deemed “Ready-Made” family pets!

Pet-A-Bulls, Inc. was formed exclusively to address the overwhelming overpopulation and homeless pet problems in the state of New Mexico. While our primary focus is placed on American Bullys, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs, Old English Bulldogs, American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, all the various Mastiffs and other “Bully” type breeds, virtually all canine breeds are always considered as space permits. Keep an eye on our “Adoptable Dogs” page as you never know what you’ll find ~ we’ve had everything from a Dogo Argentino to a Bouvier des Flandres, to Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Border Collies and Labs to absolutely adorable “pure D genuine, certified, New Mexico specials” (undetermined mixed breeds with lovely personalities).

Pet-A-Bulls places our full focus on carefully selecting our dogs from high kill shelters in New Mexico, after they have been properly screened and evaluated, in a full on effort to prevent unnecessary euthanasia. All intakes are carefully evaluated and then placed into in-home foster with people appropriately matched for their care. We are NOT able to accept dogs directly from the public under our current structure.

Pet-A-Bulls is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation and ALL donations are tax deductible.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption application that all adopters are asked to complete. Our adoption fees vary slightly depending on the medical expense we have in the dog, but generally run $150 to $200 with a select few ranging as high as $300 to cover additional medical costs. Please email or call us about any dogs you are interested in ~ we would be delighted to discuss the process and the dog you are interested in and whether its a good fit for your lifestyle and family. All dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on shots and heart worm tested if over 6 months old. We also provide free training classes to help your adopted pet be the best pet ever. Bully breeds often have very few options once they are at a shelter and have one of the highest euthanasia rates of all breeds so please consider opening your home as an adopter or foster to this wonderful, often misunderstood breed!
