Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gus is a special little guy. We took him out of a kill shelter here in Ohio earlier this year. He was skinny and sick. We ran every test you could think of on him. We even took him to the vet one night thinking we were going to have to say good bye. Everything Gus ate upset his stomach. After a lot of research, changing his foster home, changing his diet, we finally figured it out. We had eliminated everything except IBS which is caused by change in food or stress.
Gus is healthy now. He is happy and playful and doing amazing. He is eating Diamond Naturals Senior formula and doing great. We have tried a lot of foods with him including prescription and this one keeps his IBS from flaring up.
Gus is house trained for the most part. The only issue is he doesn't bark or annoy you to go out, so if you don't notice he is sitting by the door, he will go in the basement and potty. He is good with other dogs, smaller than most cats and LOVES kids! LOVES KIDS! He loves to snuggle on the couch or go for a little walk.
Gus is a great, funny, loving little dog. When he gets adopted to the right special home, they will need to understand that he will have an IBS flare up. Once he settles in and feels he is at home, he will be fine. Any type of change or stress like being adopted will cause a flare up.
