Facts about Loki
Breed: Golden Retriever/Chow Chow Mix
Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
I am already neutered.
Loki came to AAAC after being hit by a car in Manvel, Texas. AAAC staff took him to the Vet Hospital of Alvin and had xrays performed. It was determined that Loki has a fractured hip and a large chip broken from his pelvis. Loki is currently allowed only a small amount of activity in hopes that his hip heals without needing surgery. An amazing citizen paid Loki's vet bill so we can continue helping injured pets who come to our shelter. Loki is available for adoption and does well with kids and other dogs. He does need a fenced in yard as he likes to roam. He knows how to sit and shake. Please help us help dogs like Loki by donating to our medical fund at the Vet Hospital of Alvin. Donations may be called in directly to the vet's office at 281.331.6158. We are currently trying to raise enough money to cover Ladybird's bills - she is a two old lab who has multiple fractures to her pelvis after being hit by a car also. She is currently healing at AAAC but she will need more vet care as she is healing.

The Alvin Animal Adoption Center is a division of the Alvin Police Department. Come Meet Our Pets...
Our pets love visitors! Come meet your new furry family member at the Alvin Animal Adoption Center between 10am and 5pm, Monday through Saturday.
Our Adoption Process...
To ensure our animals go to a loving home, the Alvin Animal Adoption Center requires potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. We require proof from applicants that all other pets are current on their rabies vaccine, have city tags (if you live in the City of Alvin), and have permission from your landlord (if you rent or live in an apartment). The fee to adopt a pet can vary depending on whether or not the particular animal has a sponsor. The normal fees are $110 for a cat and $130 for a dog - this includes sterilization of your pet (spay or neuter), rabies vaccine, first round of basic vaccines, microchip, city tags (if you live in the City of Alvin), and the adoption fee.
