Meet Tolman, one of our new rescue arrivals! At 3 years old, this handsome Chihuahua fellow can’t wait to get the search underway for a forever home of his own! Like many rescue pets, Tolman has been very, very fearful and likely went through an experience in his past that has made him distrusting of new people and situations. However, with some patience and understanding, Tolman will warm up and elect to sit in your lap for a cuddle (on his terms, like a kitty). While treats and toys don’t interest Tolman much right now (probably due to his nerves), a snuggle and a few kisses go a long way with building his trust. Because of his shyness and fear, Tolman would prefer a home without any youngsters, but would thrive with an experienced adopter willing to help him through his uncertainty to be the confident boy we know he can be. And apartment dwellers will find that Tolman will be a great fit for their home, as Tolman is the strong, silent type who can say it all with a look (rather than a yap)!
