Are you looking for a sweet kitty that will make you melt inside? Then Honey might just be the kitty for you! This beautiful girl absolutely adores her people and is exceptionally friendly. She enjoys talking with her people and meows at you as if to say, "Please, just one more back scratch...they feel soooo good!" Honey loves to be near her people and will follow them from one room to another. If you settle on the couch to watch TV or to read, Honey is sure to lie beside you or on your lap. She also likes to keep you company while you're working on the computer by settling comfortably behind your head on top of the chair! Honey doesn't mind being held for a short while...don't let her catch you off guard though...Honey has been known to climb right up onto your shoulder expecting a ride! Some of Honey's favorite lounging spots are the cubbyholes of her cat condo and wherever the sun happens to be shining. When it's time for bed, Honey will snuggle in next to you purring in contentment...sometimes those purrs are loud enough to wake you up! Come morning, it's not unusual to wake up and find Honey sleeping next to your head. Needless to say, Honey will make a great snuggling buddy for one lucky family!
Honey is currently in foster care and has proven to be a great houseguest, using her scratching posts and litter boxes like a champ. Honey does have one weakness - FOOD! Not only does Honey love her kitty treats; she also loves treating herself to people food! Honey's foster parents soon learned that it is not a wise idea to leave food out on the counter...depending on how bold she is feeling Honey either grabs and runs or she'll eat it right there on the counter as you watch in disbelief! Ahhh, the thievery does not end there however...better not get too engrossed in your TV program while you're eating. If you're sitting on the couch, holding a plate of scrumptious food, and are deep into your show, Honey will discretely steal food right off your plate!
Honey loves to play and has a few cat toy preferences that she'd like you to know about...she likes playing with balls that have bells in them and she also enjoys pouncing furry toy mice. She finds feather wands amusing and laser pens intriguing...Honey will chase that laser light until she is worn out! One of her favorite toys is called a swizzle wand - a long furry string that she'll leap high into the air to try and catch. Sometimes while she's mid-air she'll let out a meow - maybe it's a battle cry that she is using to intimidate the swizzle wand prior to its capture?
Honey is living with 2 resident cats (1 male, 1 female) while in foster care and is getting along with them well after the initial introductory period. She and the male cat have a blast playing together and chasing each other around. Sometimes the male cat mistakenly thinks he can bully Honey, but she doesn't let him get away with anything! She's a tough little girl! Honey would enjoy having another kitty friend to hang out with in her new home. Honey's gorgeous coat requires a little extra brushing, so a family who takes advantage of that great bonding opportunity is ideal. Brushing Honey actually turns into a kind of game when Honey begins to view the brush as a toy rather than a grooming instrument! Honey is a loving and funny little girl that will enrich your life with love, friendship, and laughter.
