Hutch's Story...
HUTCH
This adorable soft coated chi/terrier brindle boy with long legs has the face of a teddy bear and legs like a deer. HUTCH is an 8 or 9 year old gentle soul; shy at first but loves to snuggle and be close to you. He weighs about 8 pounds, is dog door trained, good on a leash and does well with other dogs. HUTCH has a very sweet temperament and will really shine in a mellow home with mellow people. Because of his shyness, he would probably do best in a home without small children. He deserves and will gladly return every ounce of patience & sweetness he gets. Shy at first but well worth it. This little chi/terrier mix deserves all the love he can get. If you would like to make Hutch part of your family, please complete an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include his name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hutch, a Tijeras Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
