You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Pierre is around 8 years old, but he thinks he is a puppy! After spending a few years chained, and then locked in a room alone, Pierre is now ready to live it up! Pierre is unusually large for a Papillon, weighing in around 20 lbs. He is very high energy- he would be a great fit for someone who likes to go on long runs or hikes every day. Pierre needs a fenced in yard where he can run and play fetch. He loves to play with toys. Pierre is very polite with other animals. He lives with 2 other dogs, 2 cats, 2 ferrets, and a rabbit in his foster home. He tries to play with all of them! Pierre loves going to the dog park. He spends most of his time sniffing everything and covering every inch of the park, but he also enjoys meeting other dogs and sometimes playing with his friends. Pierre is working on issues around being touched. He has to really spend a lot of time getting to know you before he will allow you to touch him. Because of this, Pierre would not be safe in a home with children. He may snap when he is scared. Pierre should be in a home with an experienced dog owner who can provide the structure and training he needs. Pierre can jump very high! He would be a great candidate for agility training. Pierre is working on his house-training skills. He knows some basic commands. Pierre likes to chew on raw bones. He would be a great dog for the right high energy, committed person.
