Welcome MOCHA!  This tiny bit of a dog was abandoned at one of our vet partner's office requiring surgery to remove a dead pup from her!  At only 3.5 lbs, this girl should have never been allowed to become pregnant!  We are so lucky that she has now fully recovered and she  has been spayed,  vaccinated,  microchipped and is ready for her forever home.  This little lady will play for a short time and then is happy to give kisses and snuggle on your lap!  She is learning to go potty outside and could probably use pee-pads indoors, too.  Due to her tiny size,  we hope to place her in a calm, adult home where her safety is a priority.  If that is with you, please complete an application and her foster mom will contact you.  Mocha is approximately 2 years old.

Her adoption fee will help with medical expenses of the rescue.  Thank you.

About Help a Dog Smile

About Our Rescue Group...

Help A Dog Smile is a 501c3 non-profit Arizona corporation and member of PACC911. We are a group of volunteers who all have regular, full time jobs. We are passionate about helping the dogs entrusted to our care and will strive to find the perfect home for each dog. 100% of the funds received goes directly to the medical care of the dogs rescued.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoptions can be arranged by appointment or our dogs can be met on Saturdays at Petsmart, 7th Avenue & Bell Road in Phoenix 11am - 4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. A nominal fee (usually between $175-$300) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.
