A Little Bit About Me

Junior comes to us as an owner surrender because his owners are moving out of state and can not keep him. Junior is a lovely dog who unfortunately has lived most of his life outside. He is now looking for a good home where he can be an integral part of the family and be an inside dog.

Junior was good with both the large and small dogs he met here. He was polite and wanted to play. His previous owners regarded Junior as a guard dog for their property. Although he did not display any territorial behaviors here, his new adopters should be aware that he may be suspicious of unfamiliar people on first meeting, especially once he is comfortable in his new home. He does warm up very quickly when he does meet someone. Junior lived with kids ages 2 through 18 and did well with them. But remember that dogs and children should always be supervised. Junior likes people and is quite affectionate once he is comfortable with someone. We think Junior is housetrained but don't give him the run of the house right away. It is best to keep him in an area where he can be supervised and make sure you take him out on a regular basis.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
