A Little Bit About Me

Preston is a big loveable cat. He is happy to be petted and get chin scratches, but isn't too pushy about it. He was found a stray, so we really know very little about him. Preston is a long hair beauty who's coat is prone to matting. He got shaved at the shelter, because he had so many mats. He will need daily grooming as his long coat grows out. We think he would prefer being the only cat in the household and probably the only animal in the home.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
