 Balto in action:

Balto is pure happiness! He's so beautiful, so playful & such good company! At 3 years old, Balto is learning the basics while here with us & is super smart and knows how to configure doors, door knobs & latches ~ he is quite the escape artist and will need a home that can work with him to ensure his safety. Balto likes other dogs and would love to live in a home with children ages 15 years and older. We are not sure about his interactions with cats

I am a neutered male, black and white Siberian husky.

I am estimated to be about 3 years old.

I weigh approximately 63 pounds.

I have been at the shelter since 08/05/2016.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
