Dandy's Story...
Dandy is a beautiful three-year-old male collie mix. He is a little bit afraid at first and does take some time to warm up too people. Once he is comfortable with his people he is a very sweet and loving dog. He loves other dogs and is very good with cats and children. He walks good on a leash but he is a little bit afraid of car rides at first but we are currently working on that. He is crate and house trained and he does not destroy anything in the house. He would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard or a family that is very active.

If you are interested in meeting and thinking about adoption, please visit our website, http//www.wagginghearts.org, and submit a completed adoption application. Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are only able to process fully completed applications. All applications are processed in the order that they are received. On our website you will also find our adoption process and fees. Since we are a foster based rescue we are unable to set up meet and greets until a completed application is on file and has been approved.

Wagging Hearts is a foster-based, non-profit rescue organization.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dandy, a Hainesville Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Hainesville, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Hainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
