Benton's Story...
Benton is a smush face charmer! Somehow, this adorable guy landed at the county animal control where he was housed with multiple other dogs and got along nicely.

He was very thin after being found tethered alone in a backyard. He has gained some weight and is feeling much better. He tested heartworm positive, but will be treated and restored to perfect health by mid-November.

It's time for this nugget to move into his very own forever home.

Age: 1 y/o

Weight: 50-55 lbs

Vetting: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm treatment in progress

Temperament: Gets along with people and other dogs, can be cat-tested on request

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benton, a Kittery Boxer/Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Bulldog for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Boxer/Bulldog dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Bulldog breeders who help with Boxer/Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
