Please meet our sweet guy Flynn! Flynn is about 3 1/2 years old and he is an all around great boy! Flynn is housebroken and already knows many of his commands. He's quickly learning to master leash walking and his foster family says he's great in the house with not getting into things he shouldn't. Flynn is excellent with other dogs and children but no kitties please. As with all our dogs, we took Flynn to the vet right after taking him out of his shelter and we got the news Flynn is heartworm positive. Heartworm is completely treatable and Flynn is taking his meds and following the doctor's advice like a champ! Flynn can still be adopted while he is getting well and we are happy to speak with anyone interested in Flynn and instruct you all about heartworm and its treatment. We will continue to pay for all medication and veterinary visits as well! If you can't adopt Flynn but would like to pitch in to help him beat these heartworms, donations are gratefully accepted on our website! If you are looking for a happy, loving and gentle companion, Flynn is your boy!

About Lilo's Promise Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lilo's Promise Animal Rescue is a group of dedicated volunteers who provide love, veterinary care, obedience training, socialization and safe housing for homeless animals. Our focus is high risk pit bull type dogs in our local shelters. Pets taken into LPAR will stay with us until their forever homes are found, no matter how long that may be. We believe no matter what the breed, background, age, or disability, all animals deserve a second chance or as we prefer to say, "A new beginning". Each animal we rescue has a special place in our hearts. Our goal is to make the best match possible for both the pets and those looking to adopt a new family member. Lilo’s Promise conducts community educational programs emphasizing the importance of spay/neuter, obedience training, bite prevention for children, BSL, and the joy of adopting a homeless dog or cat.

Lilo’s Promise is a volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization

Our Adoption Process...

Please read the following adoption policies and guidelines before applying for a dog for adoption:

Adopters must be at least 25 years old.

Interested adopters are required to complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to setting up a time to meet our dogs for adoption.

All current/previous pets in your home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Provide 2 personal references.

Provide your veterinarian’s information (if you have a current pet and veterinarian or have owned a pet within the past 10 years).

We require landlord name and phone numbers for all renters interested in adopting.

A home visit is required as part of the adoption process.

LPAR has the right to deny any application. For example: certain dogs may require a fenced in yard, homes on main roads may or may not be considered, certain dogs will not be adopted to families with young children.

An adoption fee is required. All pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative and on flea/tick preventative.
