Important Note

Athena is best friends with Artemis. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
My name is Athena, and I am a rare female orange tabby who was born in October 2015. I am a sweet girl who ended up at a shelter with my sister Artemis because we were found as strays as very small kittens. Luckily Buster's Friends saved us just in the nick of time. Yikes! I don't even like to think about what happens to kitties at kill shelters when they have outstayed their time limit.
I can be a little shy, but I warm up quickly. Plus, who can resist my adorable face? I get along with other cats and dogs too, which is a plus if you have other pets in your home.
The purrfect home hasn't come around for me yet, but I know it will. You don't know how it would thrill me if you decided that I was the right girl for you! Since I am bonded to my sister Artemis, it would be even better if we could be adopted together. Two are better than one, you know, but we can be adopted together or separately.
Athena is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Athena, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
To make the process more efficient, download the adoption application at http://www.bustersfriends.org/catadoptionapplication.shtml.
First save and then open it; then you can print it and fill it out.

About Buster's Friends

About Our Rescue Group...

Buster’s Friends was created in memory of Jennifer Fields. Jennifer spent countless hours rescuing and fostering hundreds of Houston’s homeless animals prior to losing her battle to cancer in May 2009. As a tribute to Jennifer and her dedication, we named the group after her beloved dog Buster, who made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008.
