In the meantime, Buddy’s rescuer gave him shelter, food, and attention, and grew to love the dog. Unfortunately, his wife is allergic, so he could not keep Buddy permanently.
Our next step was to have Buddy neutered, which was also done at Indian Walk.
A final step was to treat a mild skin infection that developed, from which Buddy recovered fully.
Now this beautiful dog is ready for his forever home. Buddy is very friendly, and loves to play and run around, both with 2-leggeds as well as with other big dogs. He has not yet been around children, so for now, it’s probably best that there are no small children in the family.
He is housetrained and well behaved, but could use some additional training to learn commands like ‘sit’ and ‘stay.’ Buddy has no aggression issues, loves giving kisses and getting his belly rubbed.
