Remy's Story...
My name is Remy, I'm a sweet, healthy, loving and energetic 1.5 year old pure bred lab. My owners didn't have the time or home to take care of me so now I'm in the safe care of DLRR. My foster family has learned quickly that I love everyone I meet (including dogs, kids and cats). I went in the pool for what seems like my first time. I really loved it though I was a little scared so I will need a little practice. I sleep vey quietly in a dog bed at night. I walk just fine on a leash but with a little practice I could be perfect! I would love to go to a home where my owners will take me hiking or on long walks. After that I'll be really good at napping at their feet. I am completely housebroken. I will go in a crate but I'd prefer to go to a home where people are not gone long hours. I'm pretty sure you will fall in love with me when you look in my eyes and I give you a kiss.

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remy, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
