Boq's Story...
Hello! My name is Boq. I was brought to the shelter with my sister Nessa. We were named after the fictional characters in the musical Wicked. I tend to be pretty shy at first around people and other animals, and the staff here at the Maxfund think I may be partly feral. If you do not know, feral cats are basically wild cats that tend to be very anti-social and territorial, therefore I do not like to be cornered so picking me up can be a bit of a hassle but once I'm in your arms, I am very calm and just lay there and purr. I would love to find a home that is willing to work with me on my social skills and people who would love me unconditionally. Are you my happily ever after?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boq, a Denver Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
