My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ash. I am a very youthful 8 year old male black lab mix who is just about as lovable a dog as you will ever meet. I am in need of a new home because my family has gone through some changes that means they can no longer care for me. But losing my family hasn't dampened my love of life. I am a very happy and gentle soul who adores people, other dogs and who is respectful of cats. I currently live with five other dogs and two cats and I am best buds with everyone.
I am a very handsome boy with a heart of gold. It is clear that I haven't been walked much as I need some work on my leash manners. But that can easily be solved with the cool new thunder leash designed to stop dogs from pulling. I am great and very well behaved at off leash dog parks. I don't play that much with other dogs but I love to hang out with them and run around sniffing and exploring.
I spent a lot of time by myself when I was in my previous home where I was kept outside most of the time. Nevertheless I am house trained and listen very well. If I do get into anything I’m not supposed to, a simple "no" is all it takes for me to stop.
Perhaps because I haven't had much affection in my life I crave pets and cuddles now. But I’m never pushy about asking for them. I am a quiet boy and a great listener. If you are looking for a true friend and you can offer me a soft bed, some good food, regular walks and lots of cuddles then I’m your boy. I am healthy, neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $250.
