Ringo came to SoCo completely emaciated with every bone he had showing.  After a few weeks of lots of TLC Ringo started to put on some weight.  His personality began to blossom and his overall appearance improved greatly.  Ringo is a very high energy boy that loves to run around and play.  He will need plenty of daily exercise to expend his energy. He's a friendly boy that loves people.  Ringo would make a great addition to just about any family.

As of 10/10/16 it's estimated Ringo is approx 2 years old.  On Nov 9 he was neutered and received an update on all of his vaccines. He did, unfortunately, test positive for heart worms. We started him on a monthly preventative as soon as he came to us and will continue to do so (referred to as the “Slow Kill” method of treating heart worms) until other treatment options are started. Ringo is a bright boy but may need a refresher course in house breaking.  If interested in Ringo please submit an application at www.socorescue.com.

About Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue is licensed through the State Dept. of Agriculture, with regular inspections being made by them. We are in no way a "puppy mill", rather we take in the stray, abandoned and sick/injured pets and get them back to adoptable status.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and do accept and survive on donations from adopters and/or the general public.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a facility that has set hours of operations. This is not a problem for our adopters because it allows us to meet them with prospective pets in many locations - most are much closer to where they live. We travel to many places in Georgia so if you see someone you like, let us know and we'll see if we can meet you somewhere relatively close by.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple process to follow in adopting an animal from us: fill out an application, wait a few days and pay our fee when everything is approved!
We have a bit more that we do. After reviewing the application we have to check references and with their vet, then we can send the pet to his new home.
