Duke's Story...
Duke is a 3.5-year-old, neutered Shepherd mix who was surrendered because his owner could no longer care for him. Duke is a sweet boy who is blind in one eye but doesn't seem to let that affect him. He's a loving pup who is fully house trained. He gets a little anxious when he's first crated but, now that he’s using a vari-kennel (travel) crate, he seems to settle down after a bit.

Duke is a happy and social boy who loves everyone he meets. He gets along well with other dogs, enjoys going on walks, and loves to play fetch.

Duke would do great with an active family, especially one with some kids who will play with him.

If you’d like to make Duke part of your family, please go to TLCrescuePA.com/adopt and submit an application today

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Kimberton German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Kimberton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Kimberton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kimberton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kimberton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kimberton paves the way for another one to be saved.
