Hey good lookin'! Darrell here. Last week my family & I were dumped at a high kill shelter. A few days later my mom was adopted by these people who said "ooohh she's a purebred husky!" They left me and my sis because we aren't pure. They're crazy because we are pure cuteness. I'm worried that momma is being used these days & I wish she was becoming a sunshine dog like us.

Momma never talked about my dad that much but said he was tall, dark and handsome. I think he must've been a lab because I kinda look like one. I'm just a pup searching for true love. I've got a lot to give and I'm ready for a committed relationship. Possibly with you! I'm more than my good looks, I'm smart too! I catch onto things quickly. I will make an excellent hiking partner when I'm old enough. The sunshine people told me about this thing called snow, I am SO excited to burrow into it! I want to be a graduate so puppy classes are high up on my goals list.

I am currently in Oklahoma and will be hoppin' on a private plane to Colorado on the 23rd. Lets try out that love at first sight thing, whaddaya say!?

If you're interested in adopting me please email the sunshine people at See ya soon!

About Sunshine Canyon Dog Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

- Complete our adoption application.
- Email your finished application to Please put the dogs name in the subject line.
- Be patient & understanding. It may take a couple days for us to go through your application & get back to you. We are dedicated to finding the right home for each dog. The dog you are interested in might not be a good fit for you but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. We will work to find you a compatible dog!
- Upon approval we will discuss details of pick up & follow up care.
- Because the majority of our dogs come from out of state; most of our adoptions are done before you meet the dog. We make up for this by doing a mandatory 1 week foster period. We treat it like an adoption (w/ contract & payment) but you have a week to make sure its a good fit. If you decide within in the foster period that you are not compatible, we will reimburse your adoption fee. All we ask is that you continue to foster until we can find a forever home. Our adopters often say that our foster period is much better than a pressured 15 minute meet n greet in a shelter. We cover most medical costs within this week period.
- After the week period we are still a resource for you! We are always happy to help from training to kinds of dog food, we are here for you.
