Yuki's Story...
Look at that face and that lil' snaggletooth! What a doll! Yuki is about 4 years old and is already neutered. Yuki is a very good boy and loves to show how much he loves you. He does a great job at being house-trained and loves to be in his crate, as well! Yuki used to live with children who were around 8 years old and did great with them! Yuki loves treats and knows how to sit politely. He even sits before coming out of the kennel to go for walks - he has such great manners! He is a medium sized boy and walks nicely on a leash, too! Yuki would prefer there to be no cats in his forever home, but he really seems to enjoy the company of other dogs! Yuki's favorite thing in the world are bones to chew on! With a face as cute as his, and a matching adorable personality, we can't believe that he hasn't become someone's forever dog yet. Yuki will constantly bring smiles to your face, he is a complete love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yuki, a Michigan City Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
