Kevin's Story...
Hi there, do you want a new best friend? Do you want someone who stand by your side through everything? Then you have found the right guy. I am about 8 months old and a lab mix. I currently weigh about 53 pounds and my foster mom says I am a gentle giant. I am potty trained and I absolutely love my foster brothers and sisters. I get along with everyone! I tend to get scared in a crate so my foster mom lets me hang out with my foster siblings during the day and she says I am awesome. I don’t chew on anything inappropriate, I use the doggie door to go outside and go potty and I sleep through the night next to my foster mom’s bed. I would do better in a house with another dog because I love to play! Can I come and live with you? Email info@habitat4paws.org to let them know that you want me!

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kevin, a McKinney Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
