Facts about Apple
Breed: Beagle Mix
Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
already spayed and housetrained.
I am already spayed and housetrained.
My name is Apple and it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a six year old Beagle that's ready to steal your heart and melt it with my cuteness. I already know you do not go to the bathroom inside the human doghouse. Since, that's disgusting. Who goes to the bathroom in their doghouse or somebody else's? Not me, I'll tell you. Concerned about the amount of years I've already lived? Don't let my age fool you, I can out play any of those young whipper snappers you might decide to get instead. I especially love playing with those little (or in some cases big) animals full of stuffing and shaking them until I deem them finished. I still don't get it why my foster sister keeps some of them up high on shelves. But, hey, sometimes humans are just silly like that. I'm trying to train my foster family right but, man, sometimes I believe they need obedience school. Like, for example: I try to go hunting on that wooden thing set up in the food room and instead of letting me get my kill they tell me no and to get down. I know, I need to work on training them, but that's a lot to deal with for being one dog. I take my food time very seriously, so that means I don't want any other dogs by me when I'm eating or begging (I don't like competition). My foster family keeps telling me "sharing is caring" for begging time, so sometimes I let the other dogs come beg too. They say I need to work on it, but I think it's nice enough for me to share only sometimes. To close this up, I mainly love spending time with my people. I love to cuddle, kiss, and spend whatever I do during the day with my people. So that means when you start leaving the doghouse I'll try to follow you right out of your giant doggie door. Yep, I love you that much! So I hope you come down soon and take me home, so I can be 'the apple of your eye'. Until then, I'll keep training my foster family.

About Our Rescue Group...
For 25 years Second Chance Animal Sanctuary has been working to help homeless dogs and cats find their way into safe, permanent and loving homes. We promote animal welfare by providing rescue, proper veterinary care, and adoption for abandoned animals in Oklahoma.
Every animal has a story and many of those stories are heart-breaking, but in every case there is a common theme: an animal that deserves a second chance at life.
EACH ADOPTION SAVES TWO LIVES...AND ENRICHES ANOTHER!
When you adopt, not only do you save the life of one animal, but it frees up critical space so that we can rescue a second pet. And of course, the life that is enriched...is yours.
Our hours of operation are: Wed - Fri 12-6pm, Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 12-5pm. We are closed Mon & Tues.
Phone: (405) 321-1915
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee is $125. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and kept on monthly flea/tick/ heartworm prevention. Dogs have been heartworm and tick disease tested and cats are fiv/fel leuk negative. We do require an adoption survey and signed contract for any adoption.
