My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paradise was rescued from a local kill shelter where she had been brought in as a stray all by her lonesome. The shelter was full to the brim and had just euthanized for space. Paradise was put in a cage with Buckeye (also available for adoption) so that the shelter could euthanize fewer animals. Her giant gold eyes caught her foster mom's attention and she reached in the cage, pulled her out, and immediately felt the rumble of her motor revving up. A shelter employee walked over and said that she was the sweetest kitten and a shelter favorite. She had been at the shelter for several weeks and not been adopted, undoubtedly because she was black. Black cats are tough to adopt out and with Halloween approaching, her odds were decreasing even more. Her personality and big gold eyes won her foster mom over and she walked out the door with Paradise (and Buckeye) in her carrier. Paradise is only six months old and already shiny black and sleek with huge gold eyes. She will be gorgeous when she grows up!
