Meet Duncan!
This puppy is one of a litter of 6 Black Lab/Border Collie mixes that are looking for loving homes! They were turned in to our program with their mom after mom was left behind when her owner moved and left her in their backyard and very pregnant- Poor girl! Despite being abandoned, mom is very sweet and gentle, and is a very good role model for her babies. The puppies are playful and curious, not to mention ADORABLE! Mom is around 45lbs, and we believe puppies will mature around the same size.

Applications are usually processed within ONE BUSINESS DAY. Once approved, you will be able to schedule a meeting with an available animal for our upcoming adoption event!

  • Please note that because our shelter is located in southern Illinois, about 3 hours south of Champaign, our animals are available for adoption in Champaign only during scheduled events, and are available in Murphysboro, IL between events, by appointment.

About Midwest Animal Rescue Service

About Our Shelter...

Midwest Animal Rescue Service (MARS) is a NO-KILL, state-licensed organization (IL Dept. of Agriculture #13839) that finds loving homes for as many animals in need as possible. The animals in our program were rescued from either high-kill facilities (where animals are in danger of being put to sleep), or neglectful owners that are not providing proper care to their pets.

WHEN CONSIDERING ADOPTION, please check into what is included in the adoption fees. We hold all animals in our care for a minimum of 21 days to properly screen for health conditions, and to provide as much pre-adoption care as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption Event information is posted at! Our events are held regularly at:
Pet Supplies Plus
2821 W. Kirby Avenue
