This little guy was brought to us with his buddy PACO when their owner passed away. While the two guys are currently living toggether, they do not necessarily need to go home together and may enjoy being spoiled as only GPs or as companions to other GPs. All introductions to exisiting household pets will have to be done slowly and each GP will need his/her own cage and resources for the introductory period which can last several weeks. MEATBALL will need help working on socialization and handling. In order to adopt we will need to see a photo of the cage he will be living in before you take him home.
Guinea pigs can make great companions for both first-time or experienced pet owners/ Every guinea pig has a unique personality and can provide you with hours of joy and love. They are charming and talkitive little animals! Given that they are prey animals, guinea pigs require time, patience and a gentle hand. Once they are comfortable with you and their new surroundings, their personalities really shine! Just like any other pet, guinea pigs require a lot of care and attention. It is important to familiarize yourself with their daily and long-term needs before adding one to your family.
If you are interested in adopting MEATBALL or any of the other animals we have available here at our shelter, please plan a visit today!
