DOPEY's Story...
UPDATE: 11/20/16: The pups have now had all 3 puppy vaccinations and their Rabies.

UPDATE 10/26/16: The puppies have now had their 2nd round of vaccinations and are about 9 weeks old. They play with their mom and run around like crazy and then plop down for a long nap! They will have their 3rd vaccination and Rabies in about 3 weeks. They will be ready to go to their new homes by then.

DOPEY, and her six siblings and her mom (Suki) were rescued from a local shelter when time had run out for them. They were about 4 weeks of age. They are now 6 weeks of age and will be available to adopt in about a month. We have attached a picture of Suki, the mom, for you to get an idea of what size they might be. Suki weighs 40 pounds and has a fabulous personality. She is VERY laid back, calm, house trained, and loves to take walks with you. Just a wonderful temperament!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DOPEY, a Quitman Black Mouth Cur/Chow Chow puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur/Chow Chow for sale in Quitman, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur/Chow Chow puppy from a breeder in Quitman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Quitman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Quitman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur/Chow Chow breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Quitman paves the way for another one to be saved.
