Garfield's Story...
I know some of you may be confused, but I assure you I am not a cat…thought I do like to play with them! Other dogs, too, I just love them. Gentle children 5+ can hang with Garfield, but remember I appreciate kindness and respect. At just a year old I am still a bit of puppy, so continued training and lots of guidance will give me the confidence boost I need to become to most well-mannered sidekick around. My crate training is coming along nicely, and I am so eager to please. I’m just a ball of clay waiting to be molded into your best friend. So come on now, “Love me, feed me, never leave me.” 1 year old-48lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garfield, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
