Howdy folks! Aleman here, writing from Houston, TX. Just yesterday I was sprung from a high kill shelter. I was surrendered here for reasons I don't know. I thought I had a pretty good thing going but I guess not. The shelter scared me quite a bit so I was moved to something called a "euth list". Apparently that means my days were numbered. Lucky for us (you & me<3), the peoples at Sunshine saw my potential and spoke up for me! I know you Coloradans have some weird thing about being "native" but I think I can be an "almost native" because I'll be moving there at just 6 months old. I'll probably be more of a native than you are, haha! I am hoping to find someone who is excited to take me on long walks, cuddle up on the couch and take me to puppy classes. I would really like to attend puppy socialization classes too, I heard they are free all over Denver! I'm a growing boy and currently weigh 30lbs.

I am an active guy and will be the best hiking partner you've ever had. Whatever you want to do, I'm in! I am hopping on a Colorado bound transport and will arrive there on 10/27! I would love nothing more than to be greeted by my adopters. I just love the sound of that, MY adopters! I want this time to be forever. I promise to love you if you give me a chance.

What are you waiting for! Write the Sunshine people and get an application in for me, now! See ya soon, Colorado!

About Sunshine Canyon Dog Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

- Complete our adoption application.
- Email your finished application to Please put the dogs name in the subject line.
- Be patient & understanding. It may take a couple days for us to go through your application & get back to you. We are dedicated to finding the right home for each dog. The dog you are interested in might not be a good fit for you but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. We will work to find you a compatible dog!
- Upon approval we will discuss details of pick up & follow up care.
- Because the majority of our dogs come from out of state; most of our adoptions are done before you meet the dog. We make up for this by doing a mandatory 1 week foster period. We treat it like an adoption (w/ contract & payment) but you have a week to make sure its a good fit. If you decide within in the foster period that you are not compatible, we will reimburse your adoption fee. All we ask is that you continue to foster until we can find a forever home. Our adopters often say that our foster period is much better than a pressured 15 minute meet n greet in a shelter. We cover most medical costs within this week period.
- After the week period we are still a resource for you! We are always happy to help from training to kinds of dog food, we are here for you.
