Rico's Story...
Rico is an exceptional German Shepherd in the best tradition of German Shepherd Breeding. He is beautiful, sweet, gentle, and sensitive to what you want. He is a medium energy dog, loves going for walks and would be a perfect hiking companion as he gets on well with other dogs he meets. He adores men as well as women. He doesn’t bark except to alert to a stranger on the property. We do not have any knowledge regarding how he is with cats. He would make a perfect family dog or an emotional support dog. We think he is awesome.

Rico is house trained and socialized, knows all his basic commands and walks nicely on leash. He is up to date on his shots, is neutered and microchipped.

Most of our dogs are in foster care in San Diego County so if you would like to meet Rico, please complete an adoption or foster application on our website below and someone will get back to you within 24 hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a San Diego German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in San Diego, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
