Audrey is a very friendly little girl looking for her second chance on life. Rescued from the reservation lands near Gallup, New Mexico, Audrey is full-grown at about 38 lbs and eager to be someone's forever friend. She is now living at a foster home in Longmont, CO (about an hour north of Denver).

Audrey's past history is unknown, other than she's had a litter at some point. She is crate trained—she goes into the crate by herself during the day to sleep—is great around people (loves attention and getting petted and talked to) and her foster people are working on getting her house trained, teaching her to sit, and discouraging her from jumping up when she's excited to meet a new person. She has a beautiful, soft, reddish-brown coat (very short hair; minimal shedding) and a blaze of white on her chest, her nose, and on three of her four paws. Audrey is calm and quiet in the house but gets very animated when it's time to go for a walk. She can also get a little overwrought around other dogs, although she gets along and plays with the other five medium-to-large dogs at her current foster home (see video below). She will need some training (preferably in a group class environment around other dogs and their owners) so she can learn how to express her joy at no longer living in the wild and scrounging for food appropriately. Audrey seems to have a strong prey drive and as such is not suited to a home with small dogs or cats.

Here is a video of Audrey playing with another dog in the backyard:

And here is a clip of her lying on her back, really enjoying a neck and chest rub:

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster based rescue ~ we DO NOT have a physical shelter at the moment. All of our dogs and cats reside in foster homes all throughout the Front Range and the Western Slope of Colorado. We have adoption events regularly at Petsmart stores in Denver, CO. If we do not have an event scheduled, we can arrange a time for you to meet one of our animals available for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

We are doggie and kitty match-makers. We do everything in our power to assure that our dogs or cats will thrive in your environment.

Please start by submitting an application to adopt on our website. We do our best to respond to all applications but do to the number of applications received, this may always not be possible.

If you, your family and your lifestyle look like a good fit for the personality and needs of the animal, there's a phone call to chat and answer any additional questions. From there we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet, where the animal could then go home with you, provided it is a good fit for all involved! (All this can happen within a week's time!)

A contract is signed at time of adoption. If for ANY reason you are unable to keep your companion, we quite passionately INSIST the animal be returned to us and NOT dropped in a shelter. We would happily take any of our adoptions back if it proves NOT a good fit for your family. :-)

Adoption fees vary. Please contact us for details.
