  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Known as #50 now called Precious. This dog was part of a 68-dog hoarding/back yard breeding situation that was shut down in Hilton Head, SC. Luckily for CRT, there were only 20 Chi's.

Precious is just as her name suggests. She is estimated to be somewhere around 8 to 9 years old and she weighs 7 lbs. She has been bred to death and also did not receive any vet care until she was rescued. She was scared of a blanket when we first put it in her cage but now loves to burrow and cover up with one. She also now sleeps in the bed with her foster mom and she thinks this is pretty cool also.

Precious isn't house broken yet but is crate trained. She loves to go outside and is learning to go on newspaper when her foster mom can't get home in time to let her out.

She hasn't had a collar or harness put on her yet (baby steps) so she has no idea how to walk on a leash. She is very smart, however, so she should pick this, no problem, with a little patience.

Precious had Heartworms and has finished her treatment. She is now spayed, UTD on shots and has had a dental. She is due for another HW test in January of 2017. If you would like to be considered for Precious, please submit an application.
