I'm around 15 months old and weigh about 55 pounds. I'm about perfect for any family. I will chase cats but not to kill them. When the cat is cornered and sits then I stop and do the front paw bowing jumping routine to get the cat to play. The cat refuses and thinks 'You're an idiot!' That dismays me and I give up. Very sad that cat won't play!
A fenced yard is mandatory so I can throw myself out and run wild! I need hard exercise. I'm find on a leash but that's not exercise for me - it's exercise for the human!
I'm a gentle dog, really need to be with people, and tender. I'll sleep in bed with you and put my head in your lap while watching TV. I'm obedient and smart; well mannered and gentle. I sense when someone needs a love lick and I'm right there to give it.
ARK’s licensed dog trainer/whisperer, Jose D’Roman, with 16 years’ experience, has certified this dog to be an ESA. The certificate accompanies the dog’s adoption. Emotional Support Animals are dogs that provide comfort and support in forms of affection and companionship for an individual suffering from various mental and emotional conditions. An emotional support animal is not required to perform any specific tasks for a disability like service dogs. They are meant solely for emotional stability and unconditional love. They can assist with conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder/mood disorder, panic attacks, fear/phobias, and other psychological and emotional conditions.
Emotional support dogs are protected under federal law: Under the Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHAA) and the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), an individual who meets the proper criteria is entitled to an emotional support dog to assist them with their life. The FHAA protects individuals by allowing their emotional support dog to live with them (even when there are no pet policies in place). The ACAA protects individuals by allowing the emotional support dog to fly with them in the cabin of an airplane (without having to pay any additional fees). Any dog can be an emotional support dog, and emotional support dogs do not have to be professionally-trained.
