Facts about Shakey

  • Breed: Miniature Pinscher/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Shakey is quite shy and nervous here at the shelter and will need time to warm up to strangers and gain trust. Once he does he is a very sweet, happy boy. A loving, patient owner that will help Shakey build confidence and a calm, quiet home will be best for him. We also believe another dog in the home may help him to settle in and learn. Shakey is a good size at only about 15 pounds. He is recommended for adults and older children due to his shyness. He will require daily exercise as he is energetic and playful. We are sure Shakey will make a good companion dog with the right owner. Stop in soon to meet this special boy!

About The Voorhees Animal Orphanage

About Our Shelter...

The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space.
We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning.
On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
An application must be completed and can take up to a week to process. Once an application is approved, family meets, dog meets (if applicable) and home checks must be completed.
