Cameron's Story...
Hi there! My name's Cameron! I was recently brought to the shelter because my owners could no longer care for me. So now I'm here waiting for someone like YOU to adopt me and love me forever!

The people at the shelter are guessing I'm around 10 months old, and am a dachshund / beagle mix. I'm a friendly little guy, and would do well in a home with other dogs. I've never been around kids or cats before, so we're not sure what I think of them. Before I go to my new home I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will also have a microchip! All I need now is that special someone to come adopt me! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cameron, a Youngwood Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
