Meet Freckles

Freckles is a 2year old(2016) hound or pointer mix, that was running the streets & scavenging for food until a nice man found me! I'm not a small girl approximately 50lbs, but thats 50lbs of sugar & sweetness!! Freckles is spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped & working hard on this house breaking thing!! I get along grate with my foster brother but don't know about cats. Please consider opening your heart & home to Freckles.

About Animal Protection and Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A.P.A.W.S. (Animal Protection And Welfare Society) is an all volunteer group of people who are dedicated to ensuring that all pet animals in and around the South Louisiana area live in homes which provide for all of the animal's physical and emotional needs (including daily maintenance, medical care and nurturing) for the animal's lifetime.

Some volunteers provide food, shelter and love in their homes to cats and dogs who have been injured, abandoned or thrown away. Others help by transporting the animals to veterinarian appointments, volunteering on Adoption Days, participating in fund raising activities, mailings, publicity efforts and public education. Because we receive no external funding, we rely on fund raising efforts and donations to fund our efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We will have cats, dogs, puppies and kittens available for adoption
at PetSmart off of Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA. Every SATURDAY from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Our Adoption Process...

An application for adoption is required. Once the application is approved a legally binding contract is signed and an adoption fee is paid.
