My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in meeting Lister, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.html

Lister, born exactly on June 25, 2016, is a striking DMH brown tabby kitten with the sweetest little narrow, pointed face and a set of muzzle and eyebrow whiskers that seem to go off in all different directions. His semi-feral mother only had him and one other kitten that died at 6 weeks of age. As the two had their mom all to themselves, Lister, unlike his unthrifty brother, got grossly fat as a kitten. At 8 weeks, with his mother fixed and returned to her home, Lister was placed with several 4-month old kittens. Despite never having played before as his brother was too sickly, Lister ran up to these kittens and tried to get them to play. However, he was rebuffed over and over again. But he never gave up and finally, they accepted him, roughhousing with him whenever he wanted – which was often. All the play gave him a slimmed down physique and great muscle tone. Having been handled since he was 3 weeks old, Lister loves people. He is super sweet, purry, kissy-faced (pushes his face into yours and gives little licks), and wants to be with you all the time. Look at him and he starts purring. Pick him up and he goes limp with trust. He is a very active kitten – runs hard, plays hard – loves to play with other kittens. He is used to small dogs – and learned early how to use a doggy door that led to the screened in patio. However, he also will slip out the front door onto the porch, so needs careful watching on that.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
